Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet. To understand what information is present on this website, allow me to help clarify and guide you! If you scroll further down this page, you will find what subjects I am willing to tutor (just about any!), as well as pricing and contact information so you can get in contact with me to discuss specifics. Under the about tab, you will find information related to me personally such as how I got started and where I am going. The Updates tab will have information regarding any events, anything going on in my life that impacts my availability, or any last minute changes in regards to tutoring. Under the next tab labeled Qualifications, you will find my resume as well as my various degrees and accomplishments. It is also under this tab that you will find my list of professional references as well as some specific examples of my education experience. I have posted my Teaching Philosophy as a tab, I believe it is important for anyone who may hire me to know what I stand for and bring to the table. Under the Hall of Fame tab you will find pictures of students I have worked with. I have an Additional Services tab which discusses more tailored and nuanced educational services I offer. Subjects I can tutor, a few of them anyways!
I can tutor for any grade level, from 1st grade all the way through 12th grade! This includes intro college courses and running start preparation.
Science
The job market is changing, and Science based careers are some of the highest paying at the forefront. In this day and age, it is even more critical that our young generation be well versed in the laws and principles that govern the world around them. Biology is my major, but I am capable of tutoring in any field of science. If I do not know it, then I will learn it and in turn pass down to the student so that we can both share in this knowledge and learn together.
Math
We use math every day, from simple finance all the way to calculating the trajectory of a moving object. Many students struggle with math because it is such a fast pace within the classroom they simply are unable to keep up with the steps being presented. I am positive that if your child struggles here, that my patience and tenacity will prevail and they will learn one way or another!
Other
Sometimes students struggle in areas that are not STEM related. I strive to provide any assistance or advice wherever the student needs it, and because of this I am flexible with whatever content a parent wants their child to learn. Pricing
30.00-40.00 per hour
The pricing per hour is negotiable, I simply put this here as more of a reference. For STEM content (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) I usually aim a bit higher, and for subjects such as history I would charge on the lower end of the spectrum. This hourly price is also flexible based on exactly what is being done.
